DfT funds Leeds enhancements

On April 21 DfT published details of the funding to be made available for public transport projects in Leeds in lieu of the cancelled trolleybus scheme. A total of £175·3m is to be made available over the next four years. According to the statement, the new funding would also allow Leeds to develop proposals for local rail improvements. However, these would be subject to consultation with the wider rail industry.
