DfT has cancelled public consultation and stakeholder events for replacement of the South Eastern franchise (RBI530 p4) 'following the announcement of a general election on June 8'. Consultation on the replacement franchise remains open until May 23. On April 28 Network Rail advised the London Assembly Transport Committee that 'a little more time' was required to finalise arrangements for completing electrification between Gospel Oak and Barking (RBI528 p1). The schedule for this work will not now be announced until after the general election.
