Eurostar makes £25m loss in 2016

Due to 'tough trading conditions and lower demand', Eurostar International has reported an underlying loss of £25m for 2016. With passenger-journeys down 10°/o on the year before at 10 million 'in the aftermath of terrorist attacks in Europe' (RBI527 p3), sales revenue was down by 3°/o at £794m, an 8% decline at constant exchange rates.
