Alstom fits ETCS Baseline 3

To date, Network Rail ETCS applications have been based on the Version 2.3.0d System Requirement Specification. As the 'd' for 'debugged' indicates, this version was part of the ongoing development of ETCS. In July 2016 a new version was formally adopted, superseding Version 2.3.0d for new installations. Known as Baseline 3 Release 2, this includes provision for additional functionality. Alstom claims that its Baseline 3 installation commissioned in Denmark last year is a world first.
