摘要

There's a strong commitment to industrial automation at the Hanford Site's new solid waste processing facility. At the Waste Receiving and Processing facility, Or WRAP for short, drums of Transuranic waste (TRU) are being Processed to certify the waste contents For eventual shipment to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) outside Carlsbad, N. M. Processing the waste is po- tentially hazardous work, but facility personnel are doing it with a lot of robotics that minimize hands-on contact.
