Young Scientist Award at the URSI GASS 2017 (Report Provided by the URSI Secretariat)

The Young Scientist Program provided a number ofrnawards to assist young scientists to attend the GASS.rnThese young scientists had to be less than 35 years old onrnSeptember 1, 2017, and should have had a paper submittedrnand accepted for a regular session of the GASS. After the callrnfor the Young Scientist Awards (YSA), 273 applications fromrn39 countries were received through an online applicationrnprocedure. Some candidates were immediately removedrnfrom the list, since their application documents were notrncomplete, they were too old to apply, or they already hadrnreceived the Young Scientist Awards in the last triennium.
