Dr. Philippe Jean Pierre, President of the RegionalrnCommittee for Innovation of Reunion Island, offi ciallyrnopened the fourth edition of the Radio and Antenna Daysrnof the Indian Ocean (IEEE RADIO 2016). This was heldrnat Hotel Le Récif, Saint-Gilles Les Bains, Reunion Island,rnfrom October 10-13, 2016. The conference was organizedrnby the Radio Society (Mauritius). It was jointly sponsoredrnby the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) andrnthe Université de La Réunion. In addition, IEEE RADIOrn2016 was technically cosponsored by the International Unionrnof Radio Science (URSI), IEEE Region 8, and the IEEErnFrance Section. The local organizing committee consistedrnof researchers from CentraleSupélec, France, Université dernLa Réunion, and the University of Mauritius.
