摘要

Electron concentration determinations in the ionosphere by radio wave dispersion measurements using transmissions from rockets are discussed with reference to the results obtained by various workers. Charged particle trap experiments carried on satellite and space probes are also described, and some conclusions are reached regarding the distribution of charged particles in the sunlit part of the Earth's gas envelope.
