摘要

A method to measure the X ray intensity pattern in a radiograph of the thorax in the detector plane with high spatial resolution was developed. A special phantom from a dead body was exposed to X rays applying standard examination conditions for thoracic imaging, and the image was stored on industrial X ray film normally sued for non-destructive testing. In addition, the thorax of a volunteer was imaged on a high-resolution mammographicv screen-film system. Both images were digitised with a high-resolution drum film scanner.
