The Last Word letter from Geoffrey, 2EOAWU, in May's RadCom struck a chord with one reader who agrees that more could be done to promote the many and varied interest groups within the hobby. The reader pointed out that whilst groups like Worked All Britain (WAB), Islands on the Air (IOTA), Summits on the Air (SOTA) and the UK Low Power Club (G-QRP-C) are very well known to amateurs with some years of experience, newcomers know little about them.
