An anonymous donor has left the Radio Communications Foundation (RCF) a sum of money for use to develop a 'suitable amateur satellite project in consultation with the committee of the AMSAT-UK organisation'.rnAMSAT-UK have been approached by the RCF for their ideas and concluded that the funds should be split between (1) supporting students/young radio amateurs over a period of time, eg to sponsor them to attend the Colloquium and (2) supporting the development of flight hardware project(s) that should be shown to be relatively low risk and, ideally, have some educational value as well as supporting the amateur satellite community.
