1. EMPAR MFRA-equipped Italian FREMM production is now under way. 2. EMPAR MFRA (Multifunction Radar Active) variant possesses active phased scanning, in contrast to the passive phased scanning of the original EMPAR. 3. Production of the EMPAR is expected to cease following the satisfaction of the Italian FREMM requirement.
