SOUTHAMPTON CLUB CELEBRATES 75TH ANNIVERSARY

The Southampton Model Aeroplane Club was established in 1932 by local model enthusiasts, and with its close association with the RAF, and local aircraft manufacturers including Supermarine and links with The Solent's aviation activities, has continued up to the present day and Committee members have often come from this background. At the beginning of the 21st Century the Supermarine Spitfire was adopted as the Club's logo.
