Frank Tiano runs the annual 'Florida Jets' model air show at Lakeland Under Airport in a broad-minded enough way to allow turbo prop aircraft and ducted fan propelled models (whether electric or engine driven) to participate. The only hard rule new for this year's event was 2.4 GHz radio only, which allowed him to dispense with transmitter control completely. All the participants had to do was register and fly.
