Eerly aircraft were very flimsy machines made mainly from wood with fabric covering. To give these early structures rigidity bracing wires were attached to the fuselage and very often the biplane configuration was used. I mentioned last month that it was possible to very nearly replicate the full size structure on a model but for the scale model of the period intended for the club flyer the structure does need to be simplified.
