Skyways Plan Packs

I had to do a lot of modifications to the nose area to cram a Laser 70 into the space designed in the early '70s for a 40 - 60 two-stroke. But it is in -just! The biggest bugbear was relocating the tank to the bottom of the fuselage, level with the carb. To my mind this is the only issue with Lasers-it makes it difficult to fit (inverted or upright) in a model designed for an 'oriental' four-stroke. Side mounted is OK though.They are also doing the Chippahawk, Hawk Tiger Moth and Stampe SVB. I am looking forward to the D.H.94 Moth Minor emerging -I used to fly with Terry Melleney, who won the World Championship with the model that Skyways later turned into a Plan/Pack.They are a good start for newcomers to building. They use foam wings and decks, but lots of cutting wood, gluing & covering to learn the skills."
