Last month we published plans and details for the construction of the Versa-Fli high-wing sport model. This month we conclude the project with details on setting up and operating this model as a floatplane. Although this article revolves around the Versa-Fli model, the general criteria shown here is no secret and will apply to most floatplanes of different sizes and configuration.. Let me make it perfectly clear here - I don't in any way claim to be a floatplane expert. I have scratch-built just two floatplane models to date, but can report that both operated to pretty much trouble-free and to my expectations. Much of the information published here has been gleaned from a variety of sources and some just plain learned from interesting experience.
