Having dealt last time with the problems of visibility when flying models, this time I shall look at problems of a different but no less dangerous nature. Most people take great care to check their airborne equipment before each flight. Indeed electric models generally will not start if there is any radio related trouble; their gliding cousins can be launched by towline, even if the radio is not switched on, but these occasions are mercifully rare thanks to methodical pre-flight checking. What about all the other paraphernalia that accompanies our flying operations?
