World of Elephants 2: Selected papers from the 2nd Congress, Mammoth Site of Hot Springs

This collection of papers came out of the 2nd 'World of Elephants' Congress, held on September 22-25, 2005, in Hot Springs, SD, USA. The Congress was the second international gathering of scientists interested in or carrying out research on elephants, mammoths, mastodons, and related Pleistocene fauna and Pliocene ancestors. The first Congress had been convened in 2001 in Rome and a selection of papers was subsequently published in Quaternary International 126-128, "Studying Proboscideans: Knowledge, Problems and Perspectives: Selected Papers from 'The World of Elephants' Congress, Rome (2005)."
