A multi-functional hazard monitor using non-contact, magnetic sensors to monitor belt speed and alignment at the head/boot is available from 4B Braime Elevator Components. The Watchdog Elite can also check bearing temperature, head pulley alignment and blockages through the use of additional sensors. The system incorporates dual microprocessor control, using the latest PIC microprocessors and non-volatile (EEPROM) memory chips.An LCD screen displays elevator status messages (available in four different languages), while a super-bright LED screen conveys belt speed.
