South East aggregates consultation begins

Residents and organizations in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire and Surrey are being asked for their views on how to allocate targets for aggregates production.These allocations will influence future planning permissions for quarries across the South East. Currently, aggregate production targets are based on past rates of production rather than future need.The review aims to ensure future production considers the need for a reliable supply of aggregates alongside environmental and social impacts.
