Golf Society Golf Day

The Institute of Quarrying Golf Society held its annual Golf Day at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club on Thursday 26 May 2011. Despite some inclement weather, a good day was enjoyec by 40 golfers. The course was presented in excellent condition, with exceptional greens. A close competition took place, followed by an excellent dinner. The Institute trophies and prizes were kindly presented by Lyn Bryden, Secretary of the Institute of Quarrying, to popular approval. Harry Crowfoot, Lyn Bryden, Joan Sharp and the Golf Club team were thanked by David Abrahams, on behalf of the players, for their work in organizing and presenting the event.
