New Terex TR60 rigid dumptruck

Earlier this year, the home of Terex trucks in Motherwell, Scotland, played host to more than 100 Terex distributors and customers from around the world, who came to learn more about the company's rigid and articulated dumptrucks. During the event, the visitors were given a tour of the company's 28,000m3 Centre of Excellence, which employs some 450 staff and comprises design, engineering, manufacturing, global parts and training facilities. In particular, visitors had the opportunity to see each stage of the truck manufacturing process, from fabrication and assembly to painting and quality checks. Paul Douglas, general manager of the Motherwell facility, said: Our truck operation was the first business within Terex Corporation as it is known today and is one of the oldest manufacturers of rigid and articulated trucks. We are, therefore, very proud of our heritage and enjoy sharing our history with our international customers. There have been a lot of changes over the past few years in both the development of our trucks and the factory, including a recent US$5 million investment in manufacturing equipment.
