Maptek release Ⅰ-Site Drive for stockpile volume reporting

Maptek have released I-Site Drive to provide mines, large quarries and other industrial operations with a faster, more accurate system for frequent stockpile volume reporting. Ⅰ-Site Drive continuously acquires data using an I-Site laser scanner mounted on a moving vehicle, allowing surveyors to quickly measure stockpiles for reporting and comparing daily or weekly volumes, reducing the time required for data collection, and minimizing interruption to site activities. According to Maptek, the Inertial Navigation System (INS) in the custom vehicle mount is the key to survey efficiency, allowing the laser scanner to acquire data continuously and automatically assigning real world coordinates to the data, ready for processing.
