Caterpillar expand asphalt compactor range with new CB10 model

Caterpillar have announced the addition of oscillatory vibration to their range of asphalt compactors. The design of the new 10-tonne CB10 asphalt compactor combines the company's high-performance vertical vibration on the front drum with new oscillation technology on the rear drum. The front drum featuring vertical vibration is available in two-amplitude, five-amplitude or Versa-Vibe systems that provide initial compaction, while the rear drum with oscillation vibration delivers optimal smoothness and density. According to Caterpillar, the CB10 with oscillation technology builds upon the proven durability and performance offered by the company's existing asphalt compactors and continues to deliver the solutions that are helping customers become more versatile, productive and profitable.
