Lightweight volumetric concrete mixer with Hardox hopper

UK engineering firm Cubic3 Direct have introduced what is claimed to be the first Hardox steel hopper on a volumetric concrete mixer to meet the 32-tonne weight regulation without sacrificing build quality. Cubic3 Direct, dealers for concrete machinery and special vehicles, and South Korean manufacturers KCP Heavy Industries worked with Volvo Trucks dealers MC Truck and Bus to bring the KC3M8 mixer to market. Following several years of research and development, the testing of multiple prototypes and production mixer bodies over a combined 10 years of service, the collaboration has taken full advantage of its combined expertise in bodybuilding, volumetric mixers, materials and manufacturing to deliver a durable volumetric concrete mixer that meets UK and EU regulations through the use of Hardox steel produced by SSAB of Sweden. Graham Jones from Cubic3 Direct said: 'This volumetric mixer is the latest machine based on an established design. It is a culmination of decades of experience and I can't wait to demonstrate the quality of this machine to our existing and new customers.'
