Five Markets to Watch: Hidden Opportunities for US PV Demand

The U.S. solar PV market has seen remarkable growth over the last few years. As reported in GTM Research/SEIA's Q2 2013 U.S. Solar Market Insight report, 8.9 GW of solar have been installed through the first half of 2013. In particular, the solar market has boomed over the last 2.5 years, with 75% of all solar installations coming on-line during this time period alone. The spike in solar between 2011 and now is primarily driven by aggressive RPS standards that fueled 600% growth in utility-scale solar installations across several established state markets, most notably in California.
