Siam Cement planning to boost its paper output capacity

Siam Cement Public Company Limited has approved a variety of investment projects in its cement and paper business at a total cost of THB23.2bn (approximately €600m). The company states in a press release that it intends to set up an additional 400,000 tpy of capacity for producing packaging paper in Thailand in the provinces of Ratchaburi and Kanchanaburi.These would give Siam Cement a total production capacity of 2.3 million t for packaging paper in the ASEAN countries of the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
