German-Polish firm planning to build new sanitary paper mill in Poland

A German-Polish consortium is set to build a new tissue paper mill in the south-western Polish town of Otmuchow, the municipal government for Otmuchow announced. The consortium will reportedly invest a total of up to PLN560m (almost €134m) in the plant, where it will make products including handkerchiefs, toilet paper and other tissue products. The company does business as Viaregia Sp. z o.o. and has been listed on the Polish commercial registry with headquarters in Otmuchow since 2008. Victor Guethoff & Partner GmbH and the Polish merchant Sprzedaz Papieru Gogolin were listed as partners.The register states that the firm was previously known as Softcell. Victor Guthoff & Partner (Victorgroup) already manufactures a variety of paper and packaging products in Germany. This group said that it makes and sells more than 1,200 items, 80% of which are private-label products such as tissue products, carrier bags and aluminium trays.
