Nordic Paper to be acquired by Anhui Shanying Paper

Swedish kraft and greaseproof paper manufacturer Nordic Paper is to pass into Chinese ownership. The company announced that Chinese paper producer Anhui Shanying Paper had signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in the company. The sellers are Specials Situation Venture Partner III and Petek GmbH, which hold 60% and 40% of the shares in Nordic Paper respectively. The transaction is subject to approval by Chinese authorities and Anhui Shanying Papers'shareholders. Nordic Paper said there would be no changes regarding business operations at the moment, with Nordic Paper remaining an independent European company.
