Recovered paper inspections for exports to Malaysia not expected to be introduced before 2022

Although inspections of scrap metal exports to Malaysia are expected to be introduced as early as 1 November 2021, a similar requirement with regard to recovered paper is not likely to be imposed before early 2022. Andreas Otto, managing director of Melosch Export and board member of the paper recycling division of the German association bvse, reported that talks about the conditions were currently being held among associations, public authorities and companies in Malaysia.
