In 2012, Heinzel group had acquired the Laakirchen Papier SC-paper mill from SCA in Austria and established a sales and marketing agreement with the Swedish forest products company. Among other things, Heinzel group is responsible for the sale of the entire range of publication papers produced by SCA and Laakirchen Papier in Eastern Europe, Italy, Poland, Greece and Turkey, while SCA manages the markets in Germany, UK, the Baltic States, the Benelux, and in Scandinavia.Following SCA's latest announcement to discontinue publication paper production at the Ortviken mill and exit the publication paper market Heinzel and its subsidiary Laakirchen Papier saw the necessity to inform and reassure their customers on their commitment to the publication paper markets, and SC paper production in particular.
