摘要

Thanks to ongoing investments in the course of the past five years, Spain's paper industry was able to raise its output further. However, the beneficiaries of these investments primarily included corrugated board and tissue, while the downward trend seen for graphic paper grades continued. According to Aspapel, the Spanish association of pulp and paper manufacturers, the fact that strong growth was recorded last year is mainly attributable to massive investments totalling €1.72bn between 2015 and 2019, which led to a substantial increase in capacities. Investments totalled €356m in 2019 alone, and another €250m are earmarked for investment in 2020.
