Single nip shoe press impact to paper quality

摘要

A single-nip shoe press is able to reach very high dryness with high press nip load with modern felt design,but concern has been raised with the current felt design's ability to achieve good bulk roughness ratio on calendered sheets.Based on results,single-nip shoe press reaches similar bulk roughness ratio as three-nip press.
