Standards Are Like Onions

In a recent U.S. Fire Administration Coffee Break Training publication from FEMA, the last section pointed out that although the main subject was "linen chutes," six other standards pertained. Such is the tangled standards web. A smart leader understands that the job isn't complete by meeting only today's standard. We must also prepare to meet tomorrow's standard.
