Hadley 'in growth mode' following approval of two residential schemes

Hadley Property Group chief executive Andy Portlock has said the residential developer is "very much in growth mode" and is eyeing further acquisitions this year following its second major planning approval in the space of a week. Earlier this week, Hadley and Latimer, the private residential development arm of Clarion Housing Group, received planning permission for 568 homes, 35% of which will be affordable, on the site of the former Homebase store in Goodmayes, Redbridge. The scheme, which has a GDV of almost £200m, will also include a new public square with outdoor seating, a stage for community performances and a cafe with a terrace. Other features include a digital music academy, hosted by music educators FutureDJs, a gym and co-working space that will also provide childcare and nursery facilities.
