Q&A: Savills group CEO on resi opportunities

Savills posted a 9% fall in group revenue last week, as transaction volumes across its global real estate business slumped in the wake of the pandemic. However, one sector bucked the trend - the housing market. Revenues at its UK residential arm jumped 10%, as the market recovered strongly after grinding to a halt last spring, Mark Ridley, group chief executive of Savills, tells Property Week why he thinks housing has been so robust and what the big opportunities will be this year.
