The property industry has renewed calls on the government to level the business rates playing field between online and bricks and mortar retailers. Vivienne King (pictured), the outgoing chief executive of Revo, which is winding down this month, said she would be working with the BPF to urge the chancellor to redress the balance, noting that the online sector pays 6% in business rates despite having a 30%-plus share of the market.
