Amazon continues UK expansion with Hinckley 532 warehouse deal

Amazon has signed a lease for the 532,000 sq ft warehouse Hinckley 532 in Leicestershire as it continues to dominate the logistics market.The online retailer is understood to be paying a rent of around £6.50/sq ft.IM Properties speculatively developed the warehouse, which was completed at the start of this year, on its Hinckley Park scheme, next to Jurys Inn Hinckley Island hotel, south of Burbage.Hinckley 532 has a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating and an A-rated Energy Performance Certificate. The building has 500,000 sq ft of warehouse space, 32,500 sq ft of offices, an 18m haunch height, 70 dock-level doors and eight level-access doors. The site comprises two 55m-deep dock yards, 545 car parking spaces and 232 HGV parking spaces.
