GE Capital Real Estate buys Deutsche Postbank's l.3bn Project Tower

GE Capital Real Estate has been selected as the preferred party to buy Project Tower, Deutsche Postbank's £1.3bn book of UK performing commercial property loans. The portfolio of nearly 50 loans is to be bought at a discount of less than 5%. GE fought off competition from final-round bidders Ares Real Estate Group with Citigroup, and JP Morgan with Renshaw Bay.
