Tesco-backed Harris & Hoole filters on to high streets

Tesco-backed high street coffee shop chain Harris & Hoole opened its third store last week in Ruislip, as part of a programme of openings this year and next. Harris & Hoole took on the leases of 13 Clinton Cards stores in September, after the card retailer fell into administration in May, and the company is on the hunt for further sites across the UK. Each shop will have a unique look and feel, says Nick Tolley, who launched Harris & Hoole in August with his brother, Andrew, and sister, Laura. The trio, who hail from Australia, are determined to avoid creating another bland coffee shop chain.
