Waterford council to clear crystal factory site

Waterford City Council wants a mixed-use development on the 35 acres of the redundant Waterford Crystal site. The company, whose designers included fashion designer John Rocha (pictured), went into receivership in January and the receiver, Deloitte, has instructed Savills' Cork office to sell the site, which fronts on to the Cork Road, a mile south-west of the city centre.
