Greenwich Peninsula Sets New Green Benchmark

Quintain and lend lease have unveiled images of the two buildings it is developing at Peninsula Central on Greenwich Peninsula in south-east London (pictured left), which they claim will have the lowest carbon footprint of any large commercial scheme built or under construction in the capital.Among the scheme's sustainable features are a building management system that will produce carbon emissions 41% lower than specified in the Building Regulations.Transport for London announced last week that it has taken up its option of a further 61,000 sq ft in the scheme, following a 135,000 sq ft prelet in 2007.
