JER Partners banks on RBS for (C)500m Euro debt fund

Jer Partners has lined up the royal Bank of Scotland as a cornerstone investor for a new €500m (￡400m) European property debt fund. JER, the US private equity property fund manager, is in the early stages of raising €500m of equity for the fund, which will provide mezzanine debt to property owners that need cash, and which will buy property loans from banks that want to sell.
