Investor confidence in the UK property market is strengthening on the back of sustained economic growth, with London, Birmingham and Manchester topping the list of global cities favoured by UK-based investors, a new survey has revealed. The Colliers International survey, released exclusively to Property Week, showed the top three global cities targeted by UK-based investors in 2014 were London (68%), Manchester (28%) and Birmingham (20%). New York was fourth at 13%, just ahead of Edinburgh at 12%. The survey of UK-based investors showed increasing confidence in the UK, with 85% of respondents expecting their investment volumes to increase in 2014 on 2013 and 35% expecting an increase of more than 10%.
