Birmingham's Mailbox in £50m makeover

Brockton Capital and Milligan are to spend £50m on a transformation of the mixed-use Mailbox scheme in Birmingham with a Harvey Nichols department store as an anchor. The luxury retailer has taken a 35-year lease on a 45,000 sq ft unit, which is double the size of its existing store at the city centre scheme. The owners are also understood to be in discussions with an occupier for a three-screen cinema at the redeveloped upmarket shopping mall.
