A pension fund for doctors and chemists in Berlin is set to buy RBS's Brindleyplace offices in Birmingham for£130m. Verwaltungsgesellschaft fuer Versorgungswerke (VGV), which is represented by CBRE Global Investors (CBRE GI), has agreed to buy 7,8 and 10 Brindleyplace from fund manager Tritax at a yield of around 6%. The deal is likely to be one of the biggest in the regions this year and is also believed to be VGV's first UK transaction outside London. The offices, which comprise 295,000 sq ft across the three buildings, are all let to RBS until 2029 at an annual rent of £7.5m. The sale also includes 35 flats let to serviced-flat provider SACO for £300,000 a year and a Sainsbury's store at £135,000 a year.
