DekaBank loan backs Supermarket Income REIT's Sainsbury's purchase

Supermarket Income REIT has secured a £47,6m loan from DekaBank to help finance its purchase of a Sainsbury's supermarket in Preston. The German bank provided the REIT with a five-year, interest-only loan priced at a fixed rate equal to a 1,35% margin over three-month LIBOR. The loan is secured against the Preston supermarket and the Tesco supermarket in Mansfield that the group acquired in April.
