Diagnostic conundrums of bipolar disorder

Bipolar disorder can be a destructive psychiatric condition with many faces. Diagnosing bipolar disorder can be a psychiatric detective mystery: early detection and appropriate treatment would help allow the illness to run a benign course, although complete recovery is the exception rather than the rule.
