CPWR Study Examines Connection Between Heat-Related Fatalities, Climate Change & Construction Workers

CPWR-The Center for Construction Research and Training has published results of a study that explored heat-related deaths among U.S. constructionworkers and a possible association with climate change. The researchers used heat-related fatality data from 1992 to 2016; statistical tests to examine heat-related deaths in relation to temperature, time and geographic region; and current population surveys to match with demographic and occupational categories in rate calculations.
